The Village Sports Club weekend!

Today is my hubby's birthday and we decided on a swimming day celebration.  We wanted to try something different but not so far from where we stay.  Luckily, one of my friends is a member of The Village Sports Club.  It's  a member's only sports club facility-  one of its kind in BF Paranaque.  Phase 1 is already open with their 3 swimming pools :  a lagoon pool, kiddie wading pool , and a lap pool.  They also have basketball, volleyball and badminton courts, a gym and a spa.  Phase 2 is under construction that will have bowling alleys, game room , restaurants and function rooms.

We enjoyed the pool as guests.  Rates are P200 for adults and P150 for children (with height limit).  One would have to be endorsed by members in order to enjoy the facilities.

How to get there:

It's located at El grande corner Tropical avenue in BF Paranaque City.

Once you enter the gate, turn left and this is what you'll see

My kids enjoying the lagoon pool

The lap pool.  Behind it is the entrance to the indoor courts

The pool bar and restaurant. At the left side you could see the kiddie playground in the wading pool

My kids love the place.  We didn't have to worry about the  heat of the sun since there was a shaded area in the lagoon pool.  Service was great and the members were friendly greeting each other "good morning".
Hope to go back with my friend's invite again.

Enjoy !

Tagaytay weekend with cousins!

Had a lot of fun again in Tagaytay - this time with cousins.  One of my cousins just visited from Davao and we showed her around the place.

First stop, Pink Sisters.  The place is very quiet and very conducive for meditating.  People come for prayers, special intentions and taking picture of the beautiful scenery.

Next stop, Tierra de Maria Haven of Meditation and Enrichment ,where there is the 50 ft statue of our Mother Mary.  It's also a place of prayer , meditation as well as healing.  There is a small chapel inside where special intentions are prayed.  I like the SMILE below her figure which says - Seeing Mama Mary is a Loving Experience.

The murals of the stations of the cross and the mysteries of the holy rosary
Third stop, Angels Hill's Retreat and Formation Center.  Notice that so far all are religious places.  Well, because they are nice places and because it's Lent.  So it was fitting to go also where we could pray.

The chapel with the statue of Archangel Michael in front
The retreat houses
Of course, it wouldn't be Tagaytay if we didn't go to Taal Vista Lodge.  It's one of my favorite places to go to when I'm visiting Tagaytay.  It is overlooking Taal Volcano and so very nice for photo ops. At the time, the fog was ready to go down and so it was a bit chilly.

Where kids love to roll and roll...

Taal Volcano at view

So then we got hungry and out of the many restaurants , we chose Mushroom Burger - Yum!
They also grow their own mushrooms.

Last stop , souvenirs ! There were key chains, caps, shirts, shawls, ref magnets, etc..

Enjoy !
