Diamond Hotel weekend !

Christmas is spending time with family and having a blast !  For this year, my family decided to go to one of Manila's finest hotels - The Diamond Hotel.  It a five star hotel located near the heart of Manila at Roxas Boulevard.  It boasts of its location which is near  some tourist sites of the Philippines :  Intramuros (the walled city), Manila Ocean Park, MOA (Mall of Asia) , Chinatown among others.

A giant christmas tree greets you at the lobby and The Corniche buffet area behind it with a magnificent backdrop of water falls.  The hotel staff are very courteous and very accommodating.  We stayed in a superior room which is a big 40 sqm room with 2 double beds (what we opted for).  The swimming pool is very inviting but what I liked is the  whirlpool with warm to hot water that soothes and relaxes.  Breakfast was delightful with a mix of chinese, continental, japanese and filipino dishes.  My kids particularly liked the sausages and the scallop dimsum.

Would I go back ?  Definitely.

Tips :
Try their scallop dimsum or seafood siomai - it's delicious!
Don't dive in the pool.  It is only 3~3.5 ft deep

How to get there :
Coming from the South, take Macapagal Avenue and exit at Cultural Center of the Philippines right across Taft Avenue.  Turn left at Roxas Boulevard and it is at Dr. J. Quintos St.
