Dinner at Daniele's

Last Saturday, my friends and I decided to go out and have dinner at Daniele's Casa Mia Ristorante Italiano.  The restaurant is located at Sucat Road in Paranaque City.  They boast of their authentic Italian cuisine which my friends and I love.  From outside, you wouldn't think that it's a fine dining resto.  But once you get in, you'll find that the ambience has a homey feel to it and as one opens the door, one is greeted with the traditional "Buon Giorno".  You are then led to your table where you would sit on heavy wooden chairs.  The waiters are very well informed of what is in the dish that you order.
The owner , Daniele, is almost always there to greet and talk to the guests. He would always suggest their special for the day and would often ask how you like the food.

This is probably my favorite for the night.  This is Gamberoni al guazzetto (shrimp in wine).
It is a plenty serving but we devoured it up.  Please try this when you go there and you won't go wrong.  But I suggest to order it with rice because the sauce is sooo good.

This is what I ordered Ravioli truffle cream.  It is ravioli with spinach inside and truflle cream as sauce.  Also a good choice.  If you like veggies, this is for you.  There is another ravioli dish which is the ravioli with cheese - would also be a good choice !

An absolute must try !  This is the  mixed cold cuts.

Risotto is not my favorite Italian dish but this one takes the cake.  It is the Risotto Tartufo Truffle Cream.  Some risotto's are too mushy or too tough.  This is the 'just right' risotto.

You cannot go home without trying the gelato.  My friend's favorite are the Pistachio and the Stracciatella.  Mine is simply the chocolate gelato.

The Obama Cake and Pistachi gelato.  I thought the Obama Cake would be too sweet but lo and behold, it was just the right sweetness.  Am sure it would be great with a shot of espresso.

The entrance that bids you welcome.

A replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.  I always take a picture of it everytime.

Before we left, our humble chef allowed us to take his picture from his domain.

Enjoy !

Ryuma Lunchdate !

It was a lunch date with my boss and my colleagues from work at Paseo de Sta Rosa.  This time, we enjoyed our lunch at Ryuma restaurant.  It's my third time there and everytime am there ,I try to order a different dish.  They haven't let me down yet.
Once you enter the restaurant, you're transformed into another place - at least to me it has that effect.  They have two different layouts : the normal seating area and the area where you take off your shoes and sit on the floor.  The latter is my fave because I get to experience the Japanese traditional style of seating.

What we tried :
- of course , the ever faithful ebi tempura with the yummy tempura sauce
- chicken curry which is very tasty
- pork teppanyaki which is my next favorite and which my officemate loves
- tonkatsu on rice

Tips  :
- they have lunch specials at only about Php200 per meal
- all meals go with cold tea
- at the end of the meal, don't forget to claim your free dessert , coffee gelatin

How to get there :
From Manila , take Sta Rosa exit at SLEX.  Go straight and turn left to Paseo de Sta Rosa.
Since Rayuma is a big place, just push the button and the waitress will go to you
I did say Ebi Tempura is my favorite !

This is very yummy too ! Pork Teppanyaki
Enjoy !
